About Rawdha

A girls’ Darul Uloom in Blackburn focused on Islamic knowledge, academic seriousness and character formation.

“Let there be a group among you who call others to goodness, encourage what is good, and forbid what is evil — it is they who will be successful.”

Surah Al-Imran · 3:104

A Place of Knowledge, Guidance and Formation

Rawdhatul Ilm Wal Huda was established to offer enhanced educational opportunities for the female members of our community.

Our purpose is to help young Muslim women grow in faith, confidence, discipline and useful knowledge so they can contribute positively to their communities as good Muslims and exemplary citizens.

Community Prayer & Assembly Hall

Our spacious Prayer and Assembly Hall serves as a spiritual and social hub for students, staff, and the entire community. Open throughout the majority of the day, the hall features a conveniently located ablution area and can accommodate up to 1,000 attendees.

This space is designed for more than just quiet reflection; it is a resource for the neighbourhood to gather for prayer. While our students utilise the hall for their weekly Friday evening anjuman (showcasing speech, nasheed, and creative presentations), we invite the community to see this as their space for connection and worship.

Weekly Community Durood Gathering

Spirituality is best shared. We warmly invite the community to join us at Rawdha every Thursday for our Weekly Durood Congregation. These gatherings offer a peaceful environment for us to come together as one body, reciting Durood (salutations on the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him) and strengthening our collective bonds through shared devotion.

How to Do Umrah

Courses covering the practical steps of Umrah, including the etiquettes of Madinah and space for questions from attendees.

How to Do Hajj

Annual teaching sessions helping prospective pilgrims prepare with clarity for the rites and obligations of Hajj.
